Chichester charities benefit from police funds

POLICE in Chichester have donated £400 to local charities.

Rod Tranchant, chairman of the West Manhood Venture Bus, has received £200 from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF) and £200 was also given to George Thomas, who organises an activity group in Bracklesham Barn.

The Venture bus collects elderly residents and takes them to social gatherings and on shopping trips.

The group offers opportunities for young people. They can take part in a number of activities, including volleyball, table tennis or air hockey. The donated money will be used to purchase new equipment.
