A HIGH school’s open day went off with a bang, with explosions in the science labs and sword fights in the drama department.

Chichester High School for Boys’ (CHSB) open day welcomed Year 5 and 6 pupils to experience what the school could offer them in the future.

The event featured dissections, explosions and screaming jelly babies from the science department.

There was music in the aisles and mock sword fights within the drama department, and CCF cadets were eager to show off their skills.

In addition, there was an array of sporting activities in the sports hall, students’ demonstrated their cookery skills, there were difficult challenges in the maths department, and dressing up in the English department,

A school spokeswoman said: “Our CHSB open evening has again proved to be an immense success.”
