Chichester Police investigates alleged indecent act in public toilets

A SEVENTY-FIVE-YEAR-OLD Hunston man was arrested on suspicion of ‘outraging public decency’ and assault by beating, police announced today (October 28).

At 2.10pm on Tuesday, October 22, the man was seen in the toilets in Tower Street.

Police said he is reported to have carried out an indecent act, and then to have struck in the face a witness, who followed him to a nearby bus stop in West Street outside House of Fraser.

The blow caused no injury.

A 75-year-old Hunston man was arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency and of assault by beating.

He was later released on police bail until November 25 while police enquiries continue.
