OFFICERS from the neighbourhood policing team targeted law-breaking drivers in the area.
A special day of action took place on October 24 in Southbourne, Westbourne and Fishbourne.
Police issued two £60 fixed-penalty notices for speeding, two £60 fixed-penalty notices for driving while on a mobile phone and one £60 fixed-penalty notice for driving without a seatbelt.
Two drivers were also sent on speed awareness courses and one driver was not insured for the vehicle they were driving.
The operation was a follow-up to communities telling police it was an issue in their area.
Police community support officer Jason Lemm said: “We have continued to listen to local residents who have raised concerns to us about speeding within their villages.
“We want to know what is going on in your community so please don’t hesitate to report any suspicious activity, suspicious people or anti-social behaviour occurring in your area.
“Information will always be dealt with in confidence and it could be the missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle that we were searching for.”
