PUPILS turned news hounds when they interviewed top British skier Ed Drake.

Ed, 26, was 2009 British Alpine Ski Champion and is now in training for the 2013 Winter Olympics. He was invited to the school to be interviewed by pupils for the BBC Schools News Report.

Ed is connected to the school through pupil Polly Dunn whose father Andrew Dunn runs Chichester-based luxury travel company Scott Dunn, which is Ed’s sponsor.

The day included an inspiring question and answer session covering topics such as training, how Ed got started and future plans.

He was then interviewed on camera by Poppy Wildsmith. Notetaker was Polly Dunn and camera operator Zoe Barnett.

Ed said: “They asked some really good questions.

“They did research which was really good, it’s nice to get questions which are interesting.”

“Just meeting him was really interesting,” said Zoe. “He’s 100 per cent dedicated.”
