FOUR schools have achieved the Artsmark Award which recognises’ their commitment to providing high quality arts and cultural education.
Chichester High School for Girls and North Mundham, Medmerry and Bosham primary schools are among 46 in West Sussex to receive the status from Arts Council England.
A total of 46 schools and other education settings in West Sussex are amongst the 259 in the south east and 1580 across England which have been successful in achieving an Artsmark award.
The council’s regional director Sally Abbott said: “We know that children and young people who have the opportunity to experience the arts in some way, are more likely to fulfil their potential throughout their lives. “That’s why we are so delighted to be making 259 Artsmark awards to educational settings across the south east.”
