Chichester store supports causes with Olympic initiative

JOHN Lewis at home Chichester has launched a charity commitment to donate one hour of partner (staff) time for each gold medal won by Team GB at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The initiative demonstrates John Lewis’s commitment to the community in Chichester, and will help to create excitement amongst partners around the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Claire Dunkason, branch manager of John Lewis at home Chichester, said: “Everyone at John Lewis at home Chichester is excited to be taking part in the initiative. We pride ourselves on being a part of the community and are delighted to be able to support local causes whilst also celebrating the success of Team GB.”

John Lewis at home Chichester will be reaching out to local charities and organisations, selected by partners in branch, to offer their support following the completion of the Games.

Claire added: “We hope to provide real value to local charities and organisations by helping them in whatever way we can, whether that be assisting with fundraising efforts or by simply providing some much needed manpower. Our partners also stand to benefit significantly from the initiative by experiencing a new working environment.”

John Lewis at home Chichester opened in April. The shop is located in Portfield Retail Park, and focuses on furniture, homeware, furnishing accessories, electrical and home technology, nursery and more.
