AN EYE-CATCHING piece of street art has finally been removed from a wall in Chichester.

A prominent blue fox was painted on the north-facing wall of a building located at 43 North Street, as part of the city’s street art festival, which took place in May.

Despite assurances from Chichester District Council that the art was not permanent, a number of people had complained about it, although a number also spoke out strongly in support of the festival.

It was announced in September the art would be scrubbed and the fox was removed on Tuesday.
