NURSERY school youngsters enjoyed a special musical rendition from a children’s band in glorious sunshine before trying their hand at hitting the right notes themselves.

The Co-operative Childcare group, run from St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester, were treated to a visit from T.S Sturdy Nautical Training Corps band on Wednesday.

Sharon Bowell, nursery manager, said: “The sun was shining and we were all outside to enjoy band music in our garden.

“T.S. Sturdy is a youth organisation for children from eight-years-old in the Chichester area, they offer a variety of activities including the opportunity to join the band. After the performance our nursery children were invited to explore and experience the instruments, such as the big bass drum, side drum and bell lyre for themselves.”
