THE Co-op has submitted an application to the district council to turn an historic village pub into a supermarket.

The controversial plans by the firm has seen villagers march through the streets in protest.

But the plans were finally drawn up for the Royal Oak pub in East Wittering, and will come before Chichester District Council who will make a final decision.
