FIREFIGHTERS were called to Hunston this morning to a barn fire (July 17).
The call came in at 2.45am to a barn in Foxbridge Drive.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the barn is still alight and one pump remains at the scene.
Eyewitness Mark Chapman, who lives in Foxbridge Drive, was woken up at 3am by the fire.
“It was like fireworks shooting up into the sky,” he said.
“It’s right next to the new building site – it looked like the whole site was on fire.
“I was worried about asbestos, the firemen were wearing masks this morning.”
