Martyn from Kier Construction came to visit the children and told them all about different types of buildings and materials. He showed them the safety clothes that construction workers wear and their special shoes. The children then showed Martyn their models which they’d made at home. There were rockets, houses and even a racing car. The childcare team felt that this was a really wonderful experience for the children as they are so interested in all forms of construction in their play. The children will soon be following up this visit by exploring in our garden to make their own ‘big’ scale construction models and dens.
