A SEX offender jailed for sleeping with a 14-year-old girl is believed to have gone on the run from police.

Daniel Benjamin White, 31, was out on licence after being jailed in September, 2013, for engaging in sexual activity with a child known to him in Chichester.

However, Sussex Police said they no longer knew his whereabouts and were seeking him for recall to prison.

“Known as Danny, the 31-year-old has connections with the Selsey and Chichester areas,” said a police spokesman.

“He is described as a white man, 5’ 9”, of medium build with short spikey brown hair and a scar on his right cheek.”

At the time of his trial, White lived in School Court, Kirdford.

He was jailed at Hove Crown Court and also put on the sex offenders’ register.

Anyone seeing Danny or knowing where he might be is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101.
