A building fire on the B2135 has caused disruptions at the A24 junction near West Grinstead, according to BBC Travel.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the delays were caused by a fire in the first floor bedroom of a detached house in Steyning Road.
Crews were called this evening to the property, where two breathing apparatus, one safety jet, and one hose reel were used.
The service said there was two people in the property, a man and a woman, who are both conscious and breathing.
The fire service, police, and an ambulance are currently at the scene.
