A NAKED man running through Chichester was arrested today (May 10), and has been referred for a medical assessment.
The 31-year-old man reportedly ran down South Street, into a shop, shouted ‘I’m free’ and hugged a member of staff.
Police received several calls from members of the public reporting the man when he was seen walking down South Street at around 1.20pm.
Officers attended and the man was swiftly arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
However, it soon became apparent to officers that the man was suffering from mental health problems and therefore there will be no further police action.
The man has been referred for medical assessment.
