Firefighter’s jacket stolen in Chichester car theft

POLICE are appealing for information after a firefighter had his West Sussex Fire and Rescue jacket stolen from a vehicle in Chichester.

The theft happened at about 10pm yesterday (Wednesday, February 20) from a vehicle parked in Charles Avenue.

Together with the navy jacket, which features the fire service logo, a silver X-PEED motorcycle crash helmet was also taken.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police would like to speak to three men seen in the area at the time of the theft.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101, quoting serial number 1595 of 20 February.”
