Several items of jewellery and a watch were stolen in a burglary in Selsey over the weekend, according to Sussex Police.

Police said the break-in to the property in Drift Road is believed to have taken place overnight on Saturday into Sunday (October 29-30) while the owner was away.

The items stolen were a pearl necklace with three pearl drop strands at the front in a black velvet box, a pair or pearl earrings, a gold rope chain necklace, a circular sapphire brooch set in gold and a lady’s wristwatch, police have confirmed.

Anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious in the area over the weekend or who may see the items offered for sale is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting serial 595 of 30/10.
