Police investigate Chichester burglary

The burglar entered a property in Walnut Avenue between 1pm Monday (December 5) and 1.30am the following day, according to police.

Sussex police said the burglar had entered via an insecure rear door and was able to steal a handbag and purse containing cash and bank cards.

Detective constable Gavin Percival said: “If you saw anything suspicious or know who may be responsible please do not hesitate to contact the police.

“I would urge everyone to remain vigilant and ensure that their property is secure before going to bed.”
