Woman arrested in Sidlesham after cannabis found

A 41-year-old woman was arrested after a quantity of cannabis was found at her Sidlesham home.

Three bags of cannabis, totalling 81.9 grammes, were found at the property in Jury Lane after police carried out a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act, following local intelligence.

Linda Stacey was arrested at the scene on Friday (December 17) and has been charged with possession of cannabis. She will appear at Chichester Magistrates’ Court on January 5, 2011.

PCs Alison Hutchings and David Bulger, from the Chichester Intelligence Team, said: “We are pleased that the intelligence we received and developed resulted in a positive outcome. Sussex Police will continue to investigate and act on all information about the cultivation and distribution of illegal drugs, which has a huge impact on all communities in the district.
