A WOMAN has been charged with assisting and offender and intending to pervert the course of justice, in relation to the murder of Pennie Davis.
The former Chichester woman, known as Pennie Lambert before her marriage in May, was killed last Tuesday (September 2), as she tended to her horse in the New Forest.
Hampshire Constabulary said Leanne Doyle, 24, of Beech Crescent, Hythe, was charged with assisting an offender and intending to pervert the course of justice, in relation to the murder.
Doyle appeared at Winchester Crown Court yesterday, where she was bailed until October 1, where she will appear in court again.
Detectives working on the case have also arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of murder, and he is being questioned in custody.
In addition, a 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder, and was bailed until November 3.
A 37-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. He was bailed until October 23.
