PLANS are being considered to create a cycle-powered cinema in Chichester.
Sarah Sharp, who orchestrated 2012’s successful 20’s Plenty campaign, is looking to harness cycling’s kinetic energy.
“We are looking for people interested in cinema, engineering, science, electricity, green issues, sustainability, cycling or health,” she said.
“We would like to build our own bike-powered generators so we could power smoothie-makers, cinema or a PA system.
“When the 20mph limits are rolled out, we would like to use the bike-powered generators to run community events in the different areas of Chichester when the signs go up.”
She is hoping it could be the start of a number of sustainable projects.
