Marie said: “My son is severely disabled and I know some might think it’s only a kitten but it’s his everything.

“Teddy is nearly 8 months old he has been neutered and microchipped.”

The family has posted flyers to a large number of homes in the area, left leaflets in shop windows and lampposts.

All the Chichester vets have been informed as have community wardens but so far there is no word on where their much-loved pet is.

“Hopefully if someone takes him to the vets his microchip will be flagged missing,” Marie said.

“I post daily on Facebook as have all my family but nothing.

“Luis has a really rare disease and sadly it’s progressive and I don’t want this to make him go on a downwards slope.”

Marie says Teddy usually spends all day on her son’s lap in his wheelchair or on his bed and when Louis leaves his home he sits on the window waiting for him to return.

If you have seen Teddy you can call Marie on 07881930522.
