A HOST of creepy crawlies and wriggly beasties took over Boxgrove Primary School.

Children in Class 2 were transformed into an array of mini-beasts before the halfterm holiday to celebrate all the work they had undertaken while researching their topic, Creepy Crawlies and Wriggling Worms.

And worms were not the only creatures slithering along for a visit, with a host of ladybirds, bees, grasshoppers, spiders, slugs and snails also joining in the fun.

As well as learning about bugs in the classroom, pupils visited Kingley Vale for a mini-beast hunt, performed mini-beast dances to their families and held a mini-beast cake sale for the school, said Boxgrove’s head teacher Kim Thornton.
