A FOOD lover was ‘delighted’ when she won a private cookery lesson with a celebrity chef.
Cathy Keir, from Emsworth, won a nationwide Zanussi competition and her prize was a lesson from Gino de Campo, followed by dinner for her and her friends at her home.
The delighted group enjoyed a four-course meal of Italian antipasti, veal ossobuco with truffle mash and minted courgettes, vanilla panna cotta and tiramisu – all cooked by Gino himself.
Speaking after the meal last Wednesday, Cathy described it as ‘the perfect evening’.
“Delicious food, lots of fun and how amazing to meet Gino,” she said.
As well as asking Gino, who is currently hosting ITV’s Gino’s Italian Escape, for cookery tips the group also got the chance to grill him on his favourite guests from his television shows.
Cathy picked up her entry form from B&R Services, in Southbourne.
Store manager Sarah Bailey said: “We are delighted that one of our valued customers won this once-in-a-lifetime prize by picking up a leaflet in our store.”
