THREE fire engines were called to Pallant House Gallery, Chichester, today (Thursday, October 30).

Crews were seen at the North Pallant gallery at around 9.30am.

There is still one engine at the scene but evacuated staff members said it was believed to be a false alarm.

It is understood firefighters were called after someone reported smelling smoke coming from the plant room.
