A HOMEOWNER will now be legally allowed to live in their house after a government inspector quashed an enforcement notice.
Mr B Carter appealed against an enforcement notice issued by Chichester District Council as the council believed he had breached planning control and was without permission changing the use of 12 Black Boy Court, on Main Road, in Fishbourne, to a single dwelling house.
The inspector, Alan Woolnough said: “I conclude that the enforcement notice does not specify with sufficient accuracy the alleged breach of planning control. The enforcement notice is invalid and will be quashed.”
Mr Carter was issued with the notice in May last year and had three months to comply with its conditions, which included to cease using the building as a dwelling house.
