Funds available for community projects

CHARITIES and community projects in the north Chichester area are being urged not to miss out on funding that is available to them.

North Chichester County Local Committee (CLC) has just over £16,000 left to allocate from its Community Initiative Fund for the 2014/15 financial year - but applications must be in by Christmas Eve.

Committee chairman Michael Brown said: “Through the Community Initiative Fund we have been able to give grants to a variety of projects, including a defibrillator for a village hall and the installation of a climbing frame for the young people of Rogate.

“We’d love to help more people in 2015, and I’m sure there are lots of wonderful – and worthy – charities or organisations that would benefit from a New Year boost.”

The deadline for applications to North Chichester CLC’s Community Initiative Fund is Christmas Eve, Wednesday December 24, 2014.

Application forms and information on how to apply, as well as eligibility criteria, can be found on the Community Initiative Funding page at www.westsussex.gov.uk
