THEATRICAL pupils at Funtington Primary School took to the stage for the key stage two production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
With two evenings and a matinee performance, the children rose to the challenge, working hard after school and in their own time to learn their lines and directions.
Barnaby Borbonne had a leading role as Willy Wonka, and every student played an important part in the production as a whole.
Teacher Nick Howes, said: “About 52 children took part in the play.
“Everyone was involved – either singing or dancing or helping backstage. The children all worked really hard for about six or seven weeks of rehearsals.
“We were all very pleased, the children were excellent and created a really good spirit in the school.
“Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who helped with costumes and props for the performance.”
