VOTERS have taken the chance to quiz the Green Party’s MP candidate for Chichester.

Jasper Richmond – a serving firefighter – was at Southbourne Village Hall on Saturday.

Certainly, the feedback I got from people as I left were that they were really pleased

More than 60 people came to the event organised by resident Cassandra Morley, who said people were ‘really pleased’ with what they heard.

“I was pleased because it was a nice day, lots of people came,” she said.

“I think on estimate there were just over 60 people and that wasn’t the helpers.

“I was pleased that the questions went on for 40 minutes. I had to stop the questions or we would have run out of time.”

She praised the prospective parliamentary candidate ahead of the general election.

“He’s passionate about the national health service. There are passions that he leans more towards but it was good that he was able to give information on many areas.

“Certainly, the feedback I got from people as I left were that they were really pleased.”

Deputy leader of the Green Party Amelia Womack is at the Assembly Rooms, in North Street, Chichester, at 7.30pm tomorrow (March 13) to answer questions.
