Growing parishes rewarded by Chichester District Council

COMMUNITIES in the district that have taken new development have received a share of almost £315,000.

Communities bid for a share in a funding pot from Chichester District Council to improve their areas.

The amount of money available per parish was dependent upon the number of new homes that have
been occupied in the past three years.

Chidham and Hambrook received £19,995 for a terrace at the village hall, Fishbourne got £23,080 for a new church hall, and Funtington received £12,000 for a new pavilion

Selsey Town Council was given £15,000 for the Selsey Works project, and Sidlesham got £6,250 for a seven-a-side football pitch.
