RESIDENTS are being asked to give their views on plans created to help shape development in Selsey.
Selsey’s Neighbourhood Plan 2014-2029 has been created over a period of three years and it has now reached its pre-submission consultation stage.
The plan sets out a vision for the future of the parish and planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications.
Residents can submit their views until midday on December 1.
As part of the consultation, Selsey Town Council will use the West Sussex Fire and Rescue information bus – in Budgens’ car park on Saturday, November 1, 9.30am-midday and then outside East Beach Shops, 12.30pm-3pm.
Copies of the Selsey neighbourhood plan and supporting documentation are available to view on the town council’s website www.selseytowncouncil.gov.uk
Hard copies of the draft plan are available from: Selsey Town Council Offices, High Street, from 9am-4pm, Monday to Friday; Selsey Centre, Manor Road, from 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday; Selsey Information Exchange, High Street, from 9.30am-12.30pm, Monday to Saturday.
The plan will be submitted to be examined by a planning inspector and Chichester District Council’s policy team.
If it meets the relevant criteria, Selsey residents will vote in a referendum in early 2015.
