Tone Zone runners Claire Baker and Paul Wells are hoping to raise £2,000 for the installation of the lifesaving piece of equipment, which is being purchased by the Bognor Lions for the high street.

Paul, an Arun District Councillor for Bognor, said: “The marathon is in a few weeks so we have a very short window to raise some money but any donation is welcome.

“We know there’s a defibrillator outside the Regis Centre and it’s great that there will soon be one in the town centre too if ever it’s needed in an emergency.”
