CHICHESTER pupils excelled at the BSCA National Hill Climb and BSCA South Hill Championship.
Bishop Luffa School’s team was among more than 100 children who converged on Ditcham Park School, Petersfield, for the annual event.
Others travelled from as far as Loughborough, Didcot, Castleford and Abingdon.
Bishop Luffa was well represented with Oscar Warrington and Oliver Wise from year ten and Adam Long from year nine in the Under 15 category, and Ben Briffett from year 11 in the Over 15 category.
The boys were set off at one-minute intervals from the bottom of the hill and faced a hard uphill race, against the wind, to reach the finish line.
The Under 15 boys seemed to be the most competitive, with more than 18 boys from years nine and ten taking part.
The Bishop Luffa team achieved excellent individual results and claimed the Under 15 School Team Trophy.
Adam finished fifth on 00:08:05, Oscar was seventh on 00:08:08 and Oliver eight on 00:08:11
Ben finished fourth in his race on 00:07:39.
