Inspector allows appeal for works in Chichester

An appeal is allowed and listed building consent is granted for the replacement of an awning at a Chichester building.

A planning inspector gave the ruling for the works to take place at Strutt and Parker at 31 North Street.

Appeals had been made against the refusal to grant listed building consent and express consent for the replacement awning after Chichester District Council refused the works by notice last year.

The works can go ahead and must begin no later than three years from the date of consent.

An appeal is also allowed and consent is granted for the display of some advertisement. 31 North Street is a Grade II listed building that is situated within the Chichester Conservation Area.
