Many of you celebrated the The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in style over the weekend - but there’s more to come.

Hundreds of villagers picnicked at West Dean Gardens and in Hunston to mark the jubilee yesterday.

Today hot air balloon rides are taking place in West Wittering at the West Wittering beach car park from midday. There will be a 50’s style traditional fete, some stalls and games.

The Armada Beacon will be lit in the evening and a fireworks display will bring the event to a close at 11pm.

A river pageant is scheduled to take place on the River Lavant in Singleton at 4pm. People have made model barges for the flotilla. Afterwards there will be a party and a tug-of-war competition.

A party is taking place in Selsey this afternoon at East Beach, with entertainment and food stalls. And Lavant Memorial Green at Pook Lane will be hosting a party this afternoon, which will feature a hog roast and a 1950s memorabilia exhibition.
