Animals to star at popular show
ANIMALS will be taking centre stage at October's South of England Autumn Show and Game Fair.
Dogs play a big part in the show, being held at the South of England Centre, Ardingly, on October 4 and 5, with animals of all shapes and sizes taking part in a dog agility competition.
Working dogs will also be showing off their skills, and there will be gun dog displays and terrier racing in the main arena, which promises to be a big hit with visitors.
Horses and ponies will be entertaining visitors in a skillful and exhilarating 'Chariots of Fire' carriage driving display, under the guidance of expert horsewoman Amanda Saville.
Animals and birds are just some of a wide range of attractions at the popular two-day show.
The weekend's line-up also includes the Band of the Royal Yeomanry, crafts, clay pigeon shooting and other country sports, spectacular displays of seasonal flowers and produce, mouth-watering local food and drink, vintage machinery, plus a funfair and trade stands offering relaxed country shopping.
The show is open from 9am to 5pm each day. Tickets cost 6 for adults, 5 for students and senior citizens, 3 for children under 16 and 15 for a family ticket (two adults and two children). For further information visit the website www.seas.org.uk or call 01444 892700.
