A VETERAN from Bracklesham Bay has received a posthumous medal after serving in the Royal Navy for more than 30 years.

Sidney Osgood, who died in 1983, has been granted the Arctic Emblem, which has been received by his daughter Kathleen Willson from Bracklesham.

Mr Osgood spent two years on HMS Hood and much of the war years on the Conway, including two runs to Russia.
