A NEW face is behind the counter at the Grounds coffee shop in Arundel, but it’s one many local people will recognise.
Helen Bower, previously manager of the town’s Co-op store, has achieved her dream of having a business of her own.
After a successful career in catering and hospitality, working for some of the biggest names in the industry, Helen jumped at the chance when she heard the popular coffee shop on Arundel’s High Street was available.
She believes it has enormous potential as an already well-established and popular meeting place with a large following of loyal customers who regard it as the hub of the community.
“Having already worked in Arundel, I’m seeing plenty of familiar faces coming in,” she said.
Helen intends to extend the opening hours to include Sundays and some evenings during the week. “I think this would be the ideal place in the evenings for people who want to meet up with friends in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, but don’t really want to go to a pub,” she said.
