A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after a three-car crash on the A27 at Chichester this morning (March 31).

Sussex Police said the call came in just after 7.30am after the crash, on the westbound carriageway near the Stockbridge roundabout.

A police spokesman said a woman in a red Kia was complaining of neck pain, and was stuck in the vehicle.

The West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said they were called at 7.56am and cut the roof off of the car to release the woman.

She has since been taken to hospital.

The road was initially blocked after the crash, but Sussex Police reopened one lane at 8.25am and are working to clear the scene.

The accident is causing long delays.
