A MOTHER has set up a new after-school club for children – after a club in Chichester city centre closed.

Carolyn Ambler, who lives in Aldwick, has set up the group with her business partner Claire Lawrence – and between them they have more than 20 years of child care experience.

The group will be called CC’s Out of School and will be based at based at Parklands Primary School.

CC’s will provide after-school care for children aged four to 14 years and there will be walking buses from Jessie Younghusband School, Lancastrian School, Central School and Parklands.

“There were more than 100 children who could have been left without child care,” said David Ambler, Carolyn’s husband.

“Who would have picked them up and looked after them – a lot of parents work.”
