THE LEADER of a children’s charity from Chichester has been honoured in the Queen’s birthday honours list.
Carole Frances Damper, the chief executive of the EC Roberts Centre, in Portsmouth, has been awarded an MBE for her services to children and families.
The centre is a child-focused charity with a range of services offering support and assistance to families in addressing their situation of homelessness or dealing with the issues of relationship breakdown.
Also, a British Empire Medal has gone to George Walter Mark Callow, from East Wittering.
Mr Callow is an apprentice in cabinetmaking and is awarded the medal for services to skills.
