STAFF development at Chichester College was praised, after it was presented with a prestigious industry award.
Representatives from the college travelled to Westminster to collect an Association of Colleges (AoC) Beacon Award today.
The college won the Staff Development award, for its new lesson observation process which supports the development of teaching and learning.
The college did this by creating an expert observation team committed to the development of excellent teaching, learning and assessment.
The approach enabled more robust, reliable and evidence-based decisions about the quality of teaching and learning.
MP Matthew Hancock, minister for skills and enterprise, presented the college with the award at a national presentation.
The AoC Beacon Awards celebrate excellence in teaching and learning.
