A CAR enthusiast visited St Joseph’s Night Hostel to give Stonepillow a cheque for £520.

Andy Harris, of the Chichester MG Owner’s Club, handed over the cash on Tuesday after the MG’s on Track Day held at Goodwood Motor Circuit on Saturday, February 22.

The money raised for the homeless shelter will
go towards running St Joseph’s.

A Stonepillow spokeswoman said: “Here at St Joseph’s we provide ten individual units with communal bathrooms and eating area.

“Volunteers cook clients a hot evening meal and they are provided with breakfast before leaving in the morning.

“There are shower facilities, a second-hand clothing store and laundry facilities.

“St Joseph’s operates a long-term stay programme which guarantees clients a bed for 28 days. The donation from the MG Owner’s Club will be put to good use maintaining and running St Joseph’s and our other projects, benefitting our clients on their journeys to recovery.

“On behalf of our clients, staff and supporters, Sylvie would like to express her gratitude once more to Andy and the club members for their ongoing support.”
