A NEW ‘hop on hop off’ bus ticket has been launched in the South Downs National Park.
A spokeswoman from the park authority said it made travelling in the South Downs ‘easier than ever before’.
She added: “To celebrate the launch, on July 5 for one day only Chichester residents can discover a summer ice-cream surprise at selected locations across the South Downs and West Sussex.”
Nick Stewart, campaigns and identity project manager at the SDNPA said: “We hope the Discovery ticket will make our popular attractions and beauty spots easier to visit and better value for money by bus, giving visitors even more of a reason to leave the car at home and explore the South Downs with the kids this summer.
“And because an ice cream is an essential part of any summer day out, we hope families will enjoy our limited-edition cream tea ice-cream as part of the ride.”
According to the SDNPA, anyone using the ticket on Saturday travelling from Chichester to four locations in the park can make the most of the free ice-cream.
Ice creams will be sold at selected times at Arundel Castle, Queen Elizabeth Country Park, in Hampshire, Lewes Castle and Seven Sisters Sheep Centre, in East Sussex.
The Discovery ticket allows unlimited, one-day travel across the region for £12.50 for a family.
