AN exhibition in tribute to Selsey stargazer Sir Patrick Moore will be unveiled at Selsey Cricket Club.

The display in the club’s pavilion will feature a replica corner of Sir Patrick’s study in Farthings, his beloved Selsey home since 1968.

It features memorabilia, books and pictures, relating to his involvement as a keen, exuberant and valued member of the cricket club.

The display will be unveiled as part of the Selsey Cricket Club’s match with Lashings All Stars, and the teams will compete for the Sir Patrick Moore Cup.

Meryl Penning, who created the display, will also release a small book about Patrick’s involvement with the cricket club, titled Out for 89, which will be available for sale.

The exhibition will be officially opened by Dr John Mason at 11.45am on Sunday, June 8.
