Campaigners say it's good news that fewer children are labelled as criminals

HAMPSHIRE police have arrested a 46-year-old driver after a four car collision in Emsworth last night (May 22).

A police spokesman said: “A 46-year-old man from Emsworth has been arrested for driving while disqualified.

“The collision involved four vehicles - a Vauxhall Insignia and a Fiat Punto collided, and then hit two parked Volkswagen Golf cars.”

The crash happened on North Street, in Emsworth, at 7.40pm.

There were no reported injuries.

This follows a crash on the same road in Emsworth less than a week ago. On Tuesday (May 20), at 3.15pm, a 16-year-old boy was hit by a car as he crossed North Street.

A police spokesman said: “A male pedestrian was hit by a 76-year-old female driver of a Suzuki Jimny.

“He received a head injury and was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham to have stitches.”
