Engraved bricks recall fond Fishbourne memories

HAPPY memories came flooding back to Heather Ginman, of Pound Road, Chichester, when she read the article entitled Paving the way to a new village hall in last week’s Observer.

The article asked for anyone with a connection to the Church of St Peter and St Mary in Fishbourne to get in touch to help it fundraise for its new church hall.

Heather married John at the church on March 26, 1955. An inscribed paving brick commemorating this will now be placed in the pathway to the new church hall.

Heather was a nursing sister at Graylingwell Hospital and lived for many years in Fishbourne. Her son, Peter, and daughter, Sandra, were both baptised in the Church.

Anyone wishing to purchase a £45 engraved brick for the path can contact Robert Christie On 01243 532642 or email
