CHEERING crowds greeted displays in the GAS Arena at Festival of Speed today (Saturday, June 28).
With trial bikes, BMX riders and FMX all trying to win the most applause it was a packed show.
There were also highlights in the air with the Red Arrows and the Vulcan wowing the crowds.
Back on the track, John McGuinness was once again at the event, riding his Honda Fireblade.
“I have got the wife and kids and some more family members here,” he said.
“We are in the camper, last night we sat outside and had a barbecue and I’m riding bikes today, what more could you want?
“I’m having a great time, I wouldn’t miss it for anything.”
There was also a chance for visitors to get a look at the latest concept cars and supercars.
Hayley Hickmore, from Ginetta, described the new G60 as a ‘bit of a rocket ship’ when it went on display at the Michelin Supercar Paddock.
Legendary Formula 1 commentator Murray Walker OBE was signing autographsat the BMW exhibitors’ area.
Speaking about Festival of Speed, he said: “There is nothing else like it anywhere in the world.
“There are such nice people and you can see a huge collection of cars in such pristine condition.”
