FREE entry is being offered as part of a museum’s first birthday celebrations.
Arundel’s new museum is a year old this month and as a thank-you to the town’s residents, they are being invited to visit the museum for free on Saturday, June 14, and Sunday, June 15.
Also that weekend, there will be free guided town walks.
The whole weekend is a way of saying thank you to local people for their support during the museum’s first 12 months and to celebrate its anniversary.
It was opened by the Duke of Norfolk on June 24 last year.
The weekend will be a real community event and there will be tea and cakes for sale in the Jubilee Room at the museum, served by some of the many volunteers who have devoted a great deal of hard and valuable work over the past year.
The Snowdrop Trust will be the guest charity for the weekend.
Arundel townsfolk should take along a recent utility bill or a copy of The Bell to confirm that they are local residents.
