A FAMILIAR face hopes to make a return to politics next year.

Mike Hall, the former county councillor for Chichester North, has announced he hopes to win a seat on Chichester District Council in the 2015 election.

At a recent meeting, Boxgrove and Lavant Valley Conservative Branch adopted Mr Hall as their candidate for the Lavant and Westhampnett ward.

Branch chairman Mike Kingsford said: “Mike has had over 15 years of experience as a local county councillor, which also included four years as a district councillor and over 25 years as a parish councillor.”

Mr Kingsford stated Mr Hall was always committed to the community.

Mr Hall became the Conservative county councillor for Chichester North in 1997 in a by-election and held his seat until 2013, when he did not stand for re-election.

The seat on the district council is currently held by Liberal Democrat Andrew Smith.
